Getting to Nikiski
Northern Horizons runs up the Kenai Spur Highway from Soldotna to Nikiski, and takes work along the whole stretch: Salamatof, Island Lake, Halbouty Road and the lots north of the highway junction.
It is about twenty five minutes each way, so the work gets planned in stretches rather than in half days. Materials go out in one load, the day starts on site instead of at the yard, and a job runs to a finish rather than in and out.
