Soldotna is where Northern Horizons works out of. The town sits at the bend of the Kenai River where the Sterling Highway meets the Kenai Spur, and its housing runs from riverfront cabins and older log homes off Funny River Road to newer builds out toward Knight Drive and Kalifornsky Beach Road.
Being based here means the drive is a few minutes rather than a morning, so a small job is worth taking and a punch list gets finished instead of rescheduled. It also means materials come from the same yards in town, which is the difference between waiting on an order and picking it up.
